Why we have POlicies.
Ordinary Design Studio is a private, appointment-only studio. Every session comes with hours of preparation, a fully custom design, and an artist who shows up completely ready to deliver their best work.
Our policies exist to protect that. For you, and for us.
When you book here, you're not reserving a time slot — you're making a commitment to something permanent. We take that seriously. We ask that you do too.
The Rules of the studio
1. Late Policy
Respect goes both ways. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, your appointment is forfeited and you'll need to rebook. If you know you're running behind, call ahead — we'll do our best to accommodate. Arriving late without notice cuts into your session time, and sessions will not run over to compensate.
2. Cancellation & Deposit Policy
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure every appointment and goes toward your session total. If you cancel with less than 48-hour notice, your deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to rebook. Cancellations made with more than 48-hour notice may transfer the deposit to a rescheduled date once. If a second cancellation occurs within a 48-hour window, the full session amount will be charged to the card on file.
3. No Refund Policy
All sales are final. Retainers are non-refundable but are transferable to a rescheduled appointment under the conditions above. Once a tattoo session is completed, no refunds are issued. If you have concerns about your healed piece, your complimentary touch-up covers technical corrections — not changes of mind.
4. Design Changes Policy
Any revisions that stay within the idea discussed at the consultation can be made on the day of your appointment. Last-minute concept changes outside of what was agreed at consultation may result in rescheduling and forfeiture of your deposit. We put serious time into your custom design — major changes disrespect that process.
5. Guest Policy
Ordinary is a private studio. One guest maximum per appointment, no exceptions. Children are not permitted in the studio at any time. Guests who are disruptive to the session may be asked to wait outside.
6. Age Policy
You must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo at Ordinary Design Studio. No exceptions, regardless of parental consent. Valid government-issued photo ID is required at every appointment. Arriving without proper ID results in forfeiture of your deposit and your appointment slot.
7. No-Show Policy
A no-call, no-show forfeits your deposit entirely. A second no-show results in being permanently removed from our booking system. Our time is limited and our slots are in demand — no-shows take opportunities away from clients who are ready to commit.
